THE POSITION: Senior Software Developer
JOB DUTIES: Write code using appropriate programming languages and technologies. Verify and approve code written by junior team members through methods such as Technical Solution Proposals, formal code reviews, peer reviews and pair programming, to ensure proper quality of all code delivered to production. Deliver appropriate documentation for all changes to applications or systems to Team Lead, Technical Lead and Project Manager. Define and deliver necessary internal documentation (code comments, development handbook, etc.) Clarify requirements for change requests or problems for assigned developer. Solve technical issues with infrastructure and operations personnel. Communicate with management on behalf of team. Coach and mentor other team developers. Insure that all team members share knowledge internally. Perform code reviews with team/members. Train team members. Determine optimal resource allocation and identify resource shortages and potential bottlenecks; correct same. Clarify requirements and/or answer questions about software development for customers. Interview developer job applicants.
The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1.Education
US or Foreign Equivalent Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or closely related field
2.Additional Requirements
a.2 years experience with enterprise-level content management solution, ASP.Net, C#, and developing enterprise-level web applications;
b.During the above two year period, also must obtain or conduct:
i.1 year of experience developing large scale, multilingual extranet Web applications using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) Web Content Management API and Microsoft Content Management Server (CMS), creating SharePoint web parts;
ii.Six months experience with Java Script and JQuery Library;
iii.1 project with Windows Communication Foundation
iv.1 substantive project with CAML queries
v.1 project with LDAP or ADAM
(Note: experience using two of more of the above technologies on the same project is acceptable; does not have to be on separate projects.)
